The start of school is just around the corner. Do you know how to get your kids registered in Forsyth County? What time do classes start and end? And how in the world do you even log on to virtual learning? Well, hang around because I've got some information to help make your life a little bit easier.

How are you feeling about the kids going back to school? I know there's probably a lot of mixed emotions about it, but whether you're sending them back to school in person or you've decided to take classes virtually from home, you still want to stay plugged into everything that's going on.

Forsyth County boasts some of the best schools in the nation, which is a big plus for people living in or relocating to Forsyth County. Currently, there are 10 middle schools. They're all really cool, state-of-the-art schools with cafeterias, media centers, gymnasiums, and outdoor playfields. They also have a media center that provides computers to the students if they don’t have them. And within all the classrooms are built-in projectors and whiteboards to keep the students engaged. The classes for middle school start at 9:00 AM, which is great because if you have little ones in elementary school, it'll give you enough time to get them dropped off and then over to the middle school. Classes will end at 4:15. Please consult the district website to find your assigned school.

In addition to the core classes, students also get to participate in P.E, health, art, music, band, drama, computer and science technology, and even advanced classes to earn high school credit. Be sure to check out those programs if your student is interested. And just like the elementary schools, middle schools in Forsyth County have numerous programs to fit the needs of all students. They have classes for early intervention, special education, ESOL, and even gifted programs. So hop online, each individual school has a list of all the current activities, programs, and clubs that are available.
